Synopsis: This social story is a great way to explain being in that grumpy 'funk' of a mood that some children with autism can have. I have heard many teachers and parents explain when their child is in a 'funk' and it can be difficult to get them out of this mood. The 'funk' can come from being overwhelmed and needing a quiet time, or something that has happened to set them off, or sometimes just for no reason at all. Whatever the cause, this book explains the 'funk' and different things your child can do to get out of the 'funk' without having a temper tantrum or acting out.
