A social skills story should help walk your child through an event from their point of view and help give them adequate knowledge about what is about to take place. For children with autism, arming them tools to better understand what is happening around them can be the keys to better learning and success in mastering a situation.

This story will walk your child through the basics steps of going to get a haircut at your typical salon. Events such as washing hair or spray bottles of water, holding still, and hair blowers are discussed. Reading this story to your child several times before the event occurs, then perhaps on the way, and while the haircut is taking place can greatly improve your child's experience.

We have the highest quality PECS products on the internet. Our products are commercially laminated using a 6-roller machine. Each page is monitored and is heated to 300 degrees (that is 150 degrees higher than home laminating machines). Most of our products are purchased by schools and need to be kid tough. Purpose of social stories:

This story is 10 pages and measures 8" x 8". ALL MATERIALS are printed in color on heavy duty cardstock and heat laminated with commercial plastic. The book is bound with a vinyl coil binding and is extremely durable.
